Bike Ride & Picnic at Beals Point
Friday, the 3rd. WE WILL HAVE OUR ANNUAL PICNIC DAY AT BEALES POINT AND ALL FAMILIES ARE ENCOURAGED TO SHOW UP!
If a family or two could arrive early and "stake out a spot" for us up on the grass near the snack bar, that would be awesome.
Bring your floats and kayaks, or you can rent them there. THE BIKE RIDE UP TO BEALES is about 5 or 6 miles and has some
challenging hills. This is not a ride for kids that are only used to "riding around the block". You must have a bike
with gears, and you must have a helmet or you will not ride: All swimmers are welcome to participate in the bike ride,
but only Purple Penguins and Blue Mafia are not required to have a parent with them. All other swimmers must have a
responsible adult (not coaches) accompanying them. NO exceptions! Bike riders will meet in the parking lot (circle) at
10:00 sharp, and we should be up to Beales by 11:00. Wear a backpack with your towel, snacks, water, and SUNSCREEN. You
may want to bring a bright colored swim cap for an open-water swim, and maybe some money for the snack bar.
